Challenge
Maintenance management has changed profoundly in recent years. Simply managing work orders, inventory, and working hours is no longer enough – customers expect the system to also provide a clear view of what the data tells them: where costs arise, how resources are allocated, and where to invest next. In Aneo's customer base, which includes Valmet Automotive, Arla, Kiilto, Vahterus, and Vattenfall, this is reflected as concrete demand for deeper analytics. Aneo wanted to respond to this in a way that serves both current and future customers: with productized reporting that scales as the customer base grows and provides everyone with a quality view of their maintenance without typical customer-specific customization. This involved a strategic choice – instead of building an in-house BI team, Aneo wanted to keep the focus on their core product and bring analytics expertise alongside core operations through a specialized partner.

Solution
Aneo and BI4Saas began building productized Power BI reporting that would be embedded directly into the Aneo platform. The goal was for the content to cover those system areas from which customers gain the most value: tasks and work orders, inventory, working time, and costs. Everything would be built on a single, scalable product foundation so that every Aneo customer benefits from the same continuously evolving and product-developed solution now and in the future. Initially, the future collaboration model was refined, based on a commission model: Aneo incurs no development costs, and in return BI4SaaS receives a share of realized revenue when customers choose reporting as part of the platform. In practice, in such a partnership the incentives are aligned – it is in both parties' interest to develop and build reporting that customers concretely benefit from and genuinely want to use. The foundation of operations was also the ongoing partnership as a BI partner: where BI4Saas participates in customer meetings presenting the reporting, in onboarding training sessions, and in developing the product based on customer feedback.
